Having made a box that only a mother would be proud of (luckily it was for my Mum), I might have a go at another.

As this is the year I get married to Domino, plans are ambitious:

A bedroom suite, including headboard, dresser, vanity, and two bedside tables

A jewerly armoire for my stepdaughter

A large storage cabinet for my aunt's new condo

A hall table for our foyer

Get the shed organized (again) :o

Wonder how many I'll actually get done?

Lignum,

There's some impressive Macassar ebony at Mathews, some good widths and depths. Good solid boards. Only $85,500 a cube.

First-up is a very well furnished, double storey dolls-house for my GD. She's not yet three years of age, but EVERYTHING must be in place, includiing a toilet bowl - ":o Where does ?? do poo Pa?", "Where is the laundry Pa?".

Major project is to gain approval for a new TS from SWMBO, from the WWW show in March. After that, it's all easy!
I have 4 figured Myrtle serving platters to make for my Ma & sisters, which must be finished by March.
I spoke just last night to a bloke that will be milling some 2" blackwood boards in the new year for me, ready for SM's Rocker (2 yrs away, that!). I might make 2 and sell one.
Nesting tables for MIL and 'er indoors
Roll-away beds for under the nippers beds. These will have big dovetails, so must start practicing.
I might get hold of some Jarrah and domino up a big square outdoor table and benches. The Indonesian stuff is an insult to the beautiful illegally logged rainforest Kwila. DAMHIK
I think by that time it will be Chrissy again.:)

2007 Should be huge - I hope.

First of all finish this pool that has consumed 2006

Then would very much like to get a large drum sander and domino - depends upon how much overtime i do early next year :o Have to balance that with demands and enjoying the family.

Projects planned are a dressing table for SWMBO and a large dinning table - both made from redgum burl slabs i got some time back whilst out west and some feature stuff in the dressing table made from the myrtle I bought recently.

All good - except the overtime - have to finance the toys somehow.

Nothing! I am most reluctantly being dragged away from my shed for 2 weeks of "camping", no shed, no tools, no nothing!!!!!

I was thinking of taking a whittling knife and some sandpaper with me but that will almost certainly annoy the other people we're going camping with. I might just have to bring some woodworking books away with me.

I'm going to be setting up my shed. :D http://www.ubeaut.biz/woohoo.gif

Yep, it's gonna be a happening thing, once the shed is up, it will be time to finish the silver ash and jarrah workbench, setup the plane shelf - loosely based on Midge's and Derek's setups and all the other fun stuff you do when setting up a playroo.... Shed :D

http://www.ubeaut.biz/offwall.gif figgy jiggy jammy YAY!!!

Well I had all intents on making a table after I had finished building an avairy and a few other backyard projects.

But SWMBO has just fallen pregnant so I will be attempting a rocking chair to start with. Is a fair sort of first project but I will give it a go. Been told all other projects are off the cards after the avairy until the rocker is done.
I cant complain as it gives me the chance to buy a bandsaw thicknesser and if im really really lucky maybe a domi. The rocker will be a labour of love tho... lots of hours.

After that most likely a crib if I have enough time to finish it.

I would like to have time to try and organise my carport and build a bench as I am really getting sick of working on the concrete floor. Maybe if Im good santa might let me...

Merry xmas to all and hope you have a nice relaxing break.

Shane.
