EXKIWI

I have (what I believe) is a concrete showerbase in my bathroom. It is still serviceable but, along with the rest of the room (well the rest of the house actually) needs a spruce up. I would like to reproof it (it doesnt leak as far as I can tell) and recolour it (gloss white or similar).
I have bathroomwerx (http://www.bathroomworks.com.au/) coming over to inspect and possibly quote on the job, but I was wondering if I could just DIY it with one of the epoxy based preparations from Crommelin's or Bostik?
Any advice and hints would be gratefully received.
