Hey Jake
Kids at kyogle got board on the way to school this morning and decided to throw rocks at train windscreens:eek:
Unfortunatually for them the train crew caught the little ##### and got there names addresses and schools and police have been informed :D so if you hear of parents winging about a windscreen repair bill you know why
cheers

The little buggers will probably get off with crucifixion. First offence.
This place would be in a right bloody mess if we didn't have crucifixion! Best thing the Romans ever did for us! Nail 'em up I say! Nail some sense into 'em!

What's this thing?
"ROMANES EUNT DOMUS"?
"People called Romanes they go the house"?
B: It, it says "Romans go home".
C: No it doesn't. What's Latin for "Roman"?
B: (hesitates)
C: Come on, come on!
B: (uncertain) "ROMANUS".
C: Goes like?
B: "-ANUS".
C: Vocative plural of "-ANUS" is?
B: "-ANI".
C: (takes paintbrush from Brian and paints over) "RO-MA-NI".
"EUNT"? What is "EUNT"?
B: "Go".
C: Conjugate the verb "to go"!
B: "IRE". "EO", "IS", "IT", "IMUS", "ITIS", "EUNT".
C: So "EUNT" is ...?
B: Third person plural present indicative, "they go".
C: But "Romans, go home!" is an order, so you must use the ...?
(lifts Brian by his hairs)
B: The ... imperative.
C: Which is?
B: Ahm, oh, oh, "I", "I"!
C: How many romans? (pulls harder)
B: Plural, plural! "ITE".
C: (strikes over "EUNT" and paints "ITE" to the wall)
(satisfied) "I-TE".
"DOMUS"? Nominative? "Go home", this is motion towards, isn't it, boy?
B: (very anxious) Dative?
C: (draws his sword and holds it to Brian's throat)
B: Ahh! No, ablative, ablative, sir. No, the, accusative, accusative,
ah, DOMUM, sir.
C: Except that "DOMUS" takes the ...?
B: ... the locative, sir!
C: Which is?
B: "DOMUM".
C: (satisfied) "DOMUM" (strikes out "DOMUS" and writes "DOMUM") "-MUM".
Understand?
B: Yes sir.
C: Now write it down a hundred times.
B: Yes sir, thank you sir, hail Caesar, sir.
C: (salutes) Hail Caesar.
If it's not done by sunrise, I'll cut your balls off.
B: (very reliefed) Oh thank you sir, thank you sir, hail Caesar and
everything, sir!

Elestrator rings are much more civilisized, plus no need for stitching.
We lost a teacher from Vic Uni when some of these "dimwitts" dropped a rock off a bridge thru his windscreen. So I'd be glad to strech the rings if someone wants to hold them?
Besides what else have the Romans every done for us?

 god, I hope their not my kids. (joking)
Real sorry about that, Greg. Seems to be a lot of scruffy kids floating about kyogle. I've got quite used to it.
...Look out my window right now, and on the veranda roof of my neibors there's two kids smoking,, who look about thirteen.
Accross the road at the hall theres public toilets. The windows are forever been broken by kids chucking rocks. The local council handymans seems to have given up replacing the glass. Thats how often it happens.
Then theirs the kid who has some aversion for wheely bins. Every now and again, at night he just walks along the street, pushing over ever bin he sees....so you wake up in the morning, and see garbage all over the street.
What bothers me the most (cause I've got 3 girls) is the high number of teenage pregancys around here. As though, this place is so boring, sex is all a kids got. I see a group of kids pushing prams around town on occation. They call themselves 'the baby sitters club'. First thought was that their just minding the kids for the real parents......but the truth is, their actually mums pushing their kids. Quite sad really. My wife and I are seriously considering moving just for that reason alone.
My girls are all still under 10, but in a few years......uno.
Anyway, sorry about the rock incident. Amazing they actually got caught.

Get the council to put clear polycarbonate in the window frames and when the kids throw a rock at the window the rock will bounce back off the polycarbonate and hit them in the head.

Then the "poor little misunderstood devils" would sit a burning rag against them. Jake as for the kid that pushes the bins over, just hope he doesn't graduate to setting fire to , thats becoming a big problem.

History repeats itself. In Washington DC USA about 30 years ago, similar incident. Except they used a manhole cover. Also was a teacher IIRC. On most bridges with sidewalks, we now put a half barrel vault of chain link from the parapet up to about midline of sidewalk.

All right ... all right ... but apart from better sanitation and medicine
and education and irrigation and public health and roads and a freshwater
system and baths and public order ... what HAVE the Romans done for US?
