I've removed all the lawn front and back to create garden beds and planned entertainment areas. I'd rather water plants then a large expanse of lawn which seems such a waste of water.
In one area I have a sunken limestone garden and want to have a green walkable ground cover.
But I'm having trouble coming up with ideas.
Something that can take full sun, not require heaps of water, preferably non-mow, can have flowers and something that you can walk on.
Dichondra I like but it's too water hungry plus the foliage is smaller in the sun and it doesnt really like the sun at all. Lippia was another until I discovered it has been classed as a weed. Corsican mint would be great but again it requires too much water.
