I've just sent off a letter of frustration to the Trading Post. For some reason I've had a lot of trouble with their web site over the past few months. I used to use it all the time, but when they changed to a new interface, I found it almost impossible to run searches for stuff.

Does anyone else out there use this site? Have you had any problems?

Its only recently that I have worked out how to use properly.

I find all the Sensis websites irritating.

Whereis
Trading Post
White Pages
Yellow Pages

All seem slow to load and chuck you around everywhere.

Basically, I have trouble using it al all. It keeps bombing out on me, or freezing, or it begins a search that extends to another galaxy and keeps me waiting for half an hour (I do other stuff and notice that it's still searching when I'm shutting down).

We have a laptop (SWMBO's) and a desktop, both late models, and broadband. Ebay works a treat, and only mucks up about 1 time in 20.

are you on Bigpond?

My cable connection has dropped out about 5 times today:mad: . Could be the extreme weather conditions, that would be their excuse anyway.

Look, just found heaps of Table Saws (http://www.tradingpost.com.au/search/kw_table+saw_loc_locRZSQregtAVSCdistRZSQAVSCregRZSQ_ns_True_off_0_sect_Rural+%26+Machinery_show_bnaRZSQFalseAVSCmoaRZSQFalseAVSCcmaRZSQFalseAVSCpsaRZSQTrueAVSCdaRZSQFalseAVSCpaRZSQFalse_sqt_1_srchtype_fdr_stpg_1_subs_Machinery_) for sale around the country.

First up they slam you with all the commercial ads, you have to tick the "Private Seller" option after you search.

I had a problem with my cable dropping out but it's been fine today.

I had a tech come out last week and he replaced the rusty connector on the power pole. Doubled my power level and speed straight away and no drop outs since.

I was looking for a post hole digger attachment for my Dingo. What I've done in the past is to run a quick search on The Trading Post to catch ads. that are fresh that day. It's the way to get some bargains.

Thanks for the offer, but there's no real urgency. :D

Thanks for that Rossluck. I thought it was just me that thought it was a PITA.

Just read your post re."Trading Post" Rossluck. I find it opens OK but when I start a search I get a Microsoft "error" message and it closes down.
This problem has only occurred since the TP's all amalgamated, and doesn't happen anywhere else. Real PITA!
