I used this stuff in my double garage in our previous house, mainly to stop unsightly oil stains etc in the concrete. It is very easy to apply, just use a cheapie roller from Bunnies and toss it out, use a fresh one for the 2nd coat. Ditto with roller trays, although you can use the alfoil trick.
It is extremely hardwearing and looks good.

If you already have oil etc on the concrete you shouldn't use it, it won't stay on.

The one negative I found is that when you drive the cars in when it rains it takes a long time for the water to dry up, and when it is wet it gets very slippery.

Makes the floor very easy to sweep though (when it is dry that is!:p )

Hope that helps.

Thanks big shed,

its for a new workshop/slab with no vechile access so oil and water on the floor shouldnt be an issue .....

What did you pay for it? Just wanna make sure the ebay prices are reasonable.

Cheers

Can't remember what I paid for it, wouldn't be relevant anyway as it is about 10 years ago. Also Protec was one of my best customers in Adelaide at the time and I would have got it at staff price!;)

If it is just for a woodworking workshop 2pack epoxy might be a bit of overkill, why don't you check out some of the waterbased paving paints that are available these days?

Alternatively you can seal the concrete floor with clear slate sealer, which will keep the concrete dust down and make it a lot easier to sweep.

Cheers

Fred

Yer thanks fred,

Paving paint was my next option..... slab going down on monday so I have 6 weeks or so to let it cure before I want to paint it anyway, plenty of time to shop around ;)
