Gooday all.

My wife and a colleague are travelling to Houston on company business in mid December with a stopover in LA.

Would anyone know of a good cheap hotel in close proximity to Universal Studios and other touristy things.

Thanks for your help.

how can you have good and cheap in the same sentence.

Besides how could you let Julie stay in a cheap motel.:D

Hi ,
Good, cheap and LA in one sentence?  :D

You could try searching around Anaheim, near Disneyland and a few others as well. If you want to get down around Venice Beach etc, try looking in Orange County. And remember, there's always the Hotel California.:)

Regards

Rob

In transit, I either stay at the Holiday Inn Express on Washington Boulevard Marina Del Rey (easy walk to the beach and restaurants) or the Marina Del Rey Hotel (longer walk... even longer back somehow). These are both about $16 cab fare from LAX (10 - 12 minutes).

Simple , take that little camper parked in your driveway with you, after all it goes everywhere else.
Think of the accomodation fees you will save, equates to more rides at Disneyland:rolleyes:
Besides, it may feel lonely and neglected when you are gone:D

, if they are connecting on an early flight to Houston, it is a good idea to be in the vicinity of the airport. If they are running late because of commuter traffic and they get SSS (doubtful alien) on their boarding passes, could take a while...... Early is good!

We went right across the states some years back and found
Motel 6 to be reasonably cheap and clean, in all the cities we went to
Could be worth a look??
