Did my morning walk over the 'Bridge from Milson's Point this morning.
You could barely see the Opera House through the mist. It was as humid as buggery too.
By the time I got in to work I was sweating like the proverbial.
Had to stand over an A/C vent to cool down. :o

Well its not that warm here BUT its a bl@@dy sight warmer than it usually is this time of year.
The last couple of days I have been working outside in a short sleeved polo shirt, except in the rain.
It really is nice but you get the feeling that it will freeze your nuts off before the winter is over.
I miss the cicadas here. We never hear any. There are plenty of sirens though.

Brisbane and the Gold Coast are at their worst today. I don't know what the temp is but it's hellishly hot and smokey and hazy and when you drive you hope you don't break down because you would have to get out of the air conditioning and ... I could go on ... Brisbane at it's worse. :( :( :(

The fire fighting campaign in the Blue Mountains was slowly winding up. The fire is still burning in a remote area of the Grose Valley, but closed roads were being re-opened and fire crews were being stood down.
I was supposed to be on a crew today, but got stood down on Wednesday.
I received a call last night saying that due to the Total Fire Ban, the crew had been re-instated, but I'd already made four appointments for today. Work wins as work pays the bills.
The re-opened road has now been re-closed, and folks are bracing themselves again. We just need a week of cool weather and the fire would probably burn itself out. :o
