Hi

I am currently replacing all the interior doors in my house, from flat doors to four panel hollow doors. When i measured the BIR doors they are 685mm ea. Sizes available are 720mm (too big) and 620mm (too small). If u believe the salesman at D P then you just plane the 720 door to suit. But the timber frame of the door is only 25mm thick, 50-35=15mm for hinge screws one side and some frame left on the other side.

Solid doors are 3.5 times the price and don't come in the same pattern as the other doors.
Any sugestions would be great.

Cheers
Daniel

you could always go for mirror doors on the BIR's and get the others custom made.

You could try attaching an extra strip of timber up the hinged side of the robe openings, maybe 12mm or 15mm AND planing a few mm off the latch side of the 720mm doors. You can probably then get the 720 doors to be a neat fit. The loss of a bit of width inthe robe opening is probably a reasonable penalty compared to the horrendous prices of solid doors.
