Hi all,

Im looking at building a deck and wanted to know somewhere in the Goldcoast/Brisbane area I can get some steel posts from.
Im looking at a maximum of 110mm long (600mm in ground).
down to 900mm at the higher ground level.
I cant seem to find anything to suit.
Please help.

If you can't find steel posts why not use normal concrete stumps ?. Probably cheaper and easier to get.

If you go to any steel fabricator they should be able to cut them for you whatever size you want.

Why not use 600 x 100 stirrups and use hardwood posts.. Will be easier to attatch the bearers to..

As barry said tho any steel fabricator will do that. Just use 75 x75 duragal plated top and bottom. Concrete posts will be cheaper about $10-$12 per foot but are heavy as hell and a pain to line up.

I use brisbane posts and beams at everton hills. May be too far for you but just do a local search.

I got my First ones from MORGANS @ Millmerran.....Because I am AT MILLMERRAN.
The next lot I got from where I work:rolleyes:

Piece of cake! Easy Peasy

Oh!!!
And VERY much cheaper,
just had to purchase the 75mm x 75mm Duragal, and some 25mm Threaded rod

Mine are adjustable [ For the Black Soil movement ]

You could try Hans Steel here in Ipswich. Don't have a number handy but he will supply to what ever your requirements are.

We had ours done professionally (Paul Simpson House restumping), I cannot read the name of the company which supplied the posts but the phone number on the posts is: 33915999.
