Available for three (usually coldest) months of any year, pleasant hosts, 5 star vomit inducing food, plenty of bullrings for all to play in.

I would think it would be very nice to visit Edinburgh in the winter, as long as you could come back here to the warmth after your visit.

"Nothing At All To Do With Woodwork" is right, this has nothing to do with anything. The chosen ones...........B/S

I think that was a typo......He obviously meant to say "frozen ones".

The best two parts of Edinburgh are the military tattoo and the road out ....

Your thoughts..................I think I have spent three months in this "Edinburgh" of yours Iain. Cold it was not, in fact it was quite hot.

Am I on track? ;)

Replace bullring with parade ground and I think a few more will chime in. Maybe there are a few Kapookens out there too?

Spot on Greg, I was there in August for the bivouac, Cudlee Creek, luverly spot for a picnic, crawling through the concrete pipes (on base) in the middle of winter knowing that the sheep had spent a few nights in them too.
Oh such sweet memories:o
