I'm in. I can suggest Haymarket Chinese on Sussex, half a block south of Bathurst. Good food, quick, not expensive.

Great, 2 starters already. Before we work out where I think it is a good idea if we could indicate our office location. My feeling is Pitt Street Mall would suit a lot of people.

My office is at darling harbour (very close to QVB)

My office is in Pitt Street across from the Hunter Connection.

Can I suggest KFC at Ulludulla? Not that I'm a big fan of KFC but it will have to be quick if I'm to get back to work within my lunch hour.

jmk89

So we bring our own sangers? Or do we go somewhere after meeting there? How about City Eats (the restaurant in the City Hotel - Cnr King and Kent Streets)?

Tex B

The Heritage Belgian Beer Centre in Harrington St just north of Wynard. I recommend the pot of mussels, with or without the mixed entree. Of course you won't get much work done for the rest of the afternoon.

I'm very disappointed that you people have totally disregarded my correspondence on this matter. It just goes to reaffirm my opinion of Sydney people in general. The sandstone curtain does exist!

I agree. I think it's a disgrace that these elitists should ignore you in this very cavalier manner.

I reckon we former Sydneysiders should have our own get-together so we can, in turn, ignore the buggers.

I'll see you at the Little Creatures Brewery in Freo on Friday.

You're on Col but I'd like to propose an alternative venue: The Cafe of the Rising Om in Pambula. BYO dreadlocks. They do an excellent nachos ;)

TassieKiwi

Oh no - much easier to be critical!

Don't get me wrong, I think it's a bloody good idea to meet other BB'ers, and good for you to set it up. Always hard to allow for everyone. Maybe just set a date/time with a few day's notice, and see who can turn up?

Maybe you could meet for an early pot of mussels or pommes frites with mayo one evening at the Belgian place, say 6-630? no pressure to get back to work, only back to 'er indoors.
