Concealed fridge doors

Just wondering if anyone could help me with obtaining fittings to allow for cupboard doors to be fitted to the front doors of my fridge so that all the doors in the kitchen are the same colour?

There are a few ways of achieving that, but I'm fairly sure all of them will require you to build a new refrigerator.

Fisher and Paykel used to sell a kit, which had a sort of slide that attached to the fridge door, and opened it with the cupboard door. This was all a bit "plasticy" and pretty finnicky to keep in one piece.

You can buy a fridge suitable for building in, Gaggenau have on, but you could buy a small BMW for the price.

You can buy fridges with slide-in panels for their doors.

Don't forget that the fridge is going to be a lot deeper than your cupboard, and because of the geometry of the opening, you'll need to make the cupboards wider than the fridge too to make it open.

All in all... a fridge is a fridge. If you need to hide it, be prepared to spend big bucks.

There are several kits that will allow you to hide a fridge.

My SIL has a pretty bog-standard fridge that was hidden with cabinet doors. The kit consists of a hook/slide attachment that attaches to the door & a rail attachment that is double-sided to the fridge door. Mind you it's double-sided tape that you can't buy.
I'd ask the local cabinet makers what they use or what is available.

liebeher make integrated fridges that are cheaper than gageneau and BMW's, but a lot more expensive than a kelvinator!

their fridges are also only 600mm deep so they fit in normal cabinet depth, although a little small on capacity of course) . FWIW, I bought a GE double with icemaker thingy, and just cut a hole in the stud wall behind so it sits much further back into the cavity (the fridge is 800mm deep!), and also designed the space with minumim clearances to the top and sides - so its a very close fit and looks very built in (matching kitchen handle style helps too)

if its the missus that wants one, just get a new one!!!
