Wood heater modificaiton?

Hello,
We have a Kent slow combustion wood heater (free standing type).. but it does not have a fan.. Does anyone know if it is possible to get a fan retrofitted to an existing heater? Strange question I know, but I am sure it would be so much for efficient with a fan to blow the toasty air about a bit.

There are a couple of brands of wood heaters that use fans in the back. A squirrel cage type fan is probably the best. An old oil heater fan would be ideal, they used to hang off a couple of springs so as to reduce the transferance of vibration to the heater.

If you went to a heating supply place they might be able to help you.

Maybe a bit excessive for what you trying to do but you can get air transfer kits and inline fans to use with ducting ... pump the heat exactly where you want it?
