Hi, just a couple of interesting items on Ebay,
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/LAND-FOR-SALE-MARS-THE-VERY-FIRST-MARTIAN-ESTATE_W0QQitemZ200039775682QQihZ010QQcategoryZ1469QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Or if 1/2 acre is too big, try 1/4 of an acre, with less travelling time??

Gasp!!...look again...blink....reach for glasses......closer look.... look away....look again...close screen.....walk away.....unbelieving....

Whoever buys there, is going to spend a lot on fuel, 100,000 liters of fuel, to home sweet home:D

Stupid....crazy...etc:

Can I get power & water to it?

Yes. But not three phase.

I'm tempted to bid. There wouldn't have been any development up there yet, so I'm sure my half acre would be full of ancient lunar lumber....

With my luck I'd end up stuck with a block complete with abandoned cess-pit, a scrapped Rover up on blocks out the front, empty rations tubes scattered all over and the bloody laser reflecting dish, which I wouldn't be allowed to move/remove 'cos it's "servicing the immediate neighbourhood."

Oh... and the mandatory shopping trolley with wonky wheel.

I'd just be afraid that if I brought a block, then one day, eventually get there to check it out, I would see..........

Doesn't offering something for sale when it's not yours amount to fraud?

I do not see a problem with this but just to be safe I require the seller, at his cost, to provide me with a recent survey and to ensure that the survey pegs are in place for my selected block.

Well guys I reckon we should buy up the whole estate, rename it Woodie Central, ban religion, war, politics and women. Declare the drink of choice beer and get Felder and Ubeaut to relocate their businesses. (BYO wood) :D

Sorry boys, beat you to it. Have just this morning logged claim to all other planetary surfaces - be they liquid, solid, gaseous or anything in between - should get an answer (and full Planetary Titles) within days. But tell you what, you can have a hectare on the planet of your choice, for just 50 cents, I am not a greedy man. Gonna charge a bit more for Uranus cos I reckon I might get some specific requets for a piece of the action on this one!

Gee, 2 million titles claim to have been sold - now if they all went at 20 bucks, some guy has just made himself enough money to defend himself in court!

Look out Andromeda, here I come! :p

He claims that he holds title to it.

Yeah, so which department/office/authority/country surveyed the property and issued the title deeds?
