The government has just announced $60 million for clean energy projects, a few days after announcing $90 million to fund chaplains in schools.

So the position of the Australian government is that clean energy for all is 2/3rds as important as promoting religion in schools.

Oh we need to promote religion in school, religion is the biggest cause of wars, I work for defence, hence I will keep a job......

Nah Zen the position of the Government is to buy as many votes as it possibly can.

That's what politicians do

With a government that's only prepared to spend $60m on clean energy, there's an awful lot of prayer needed.

I'd say the balance is pretty right.

Ahh...but what are they praying for:

"Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea." (Revelation 21)

Or are we just taking the pith? aren't we going to catch it and bury it so it will never be a problem, and if that fails we can use clean green nuclear power. I even heard one ratbag say that there is no longer any waste from the reactors abd they are perfectly safe. Just like Chernobyl I'm sure they thought that was safe to.

Cars produce Ozone as part of the combustion process. That is what makes a lot of smog good old Ozone.

The cars unfortunately are too clever and pump out CO2 to wreck the ozone layer and O3 to make smog but not help the ozone layer.

Guys grow more trees and make expensive furniture out of it so the carbon is locked up in peoples houses
