Green Tongue with existing timber boards

Hi All

I have a bathroom that has water damage. The shower tray leaked over years and rotted the boards underneath. The rot is limited to the area around the shower 7 or 8 boards. I plan to replace the boards with green tongue partical board flooring. It's the same depth as the existing boards (19mm). So there will be a mix of boards and partical board.

Has anyone done this?
Are there any issues to watch for?

No issues.
You may have to put in some solid blocking between the joists where the board & sheet meet.
Quite often its necessary to remove the tongue from the boards or if its on the groove edge, the plastic tongue on the panel doesn't fit properly.

compressed fibre cement sheeting eg hardipanel could be a better solution, but waterproofing is the key.

I agree with Pulse.
Chip-board will be a nightmare if there is any more leaks.
I'd use hardipanel.

Thanks for the replies. We are going with green tongue. I don't want to replace the whole floor so depth is key. Will waterproof floor with ultraseal and get a good plumber so we don't have another leak. :)
