This is Serious stuff. was browsing the Federal Tresury site last night and the following info was tucked away under a minor link. I have summarised
it.

As you are well aware, the economic rationalists have been at it for a long time. Things started way back when digital gadgets started showing 24 hour clocks instead of the usual PM AM stuff - VCR's microwaves, etc. An attempt to eliminate the concepts of morning and evening.

The ER's got bored, once they buggered our economy and sold off the rest to the other countries. They dabbled with the seasons - refer other posts - to the extent that they have succesfully eliminated Spring and are now on a program to get rid of the other seasons and eventually
just have 'weather'. Flushed with the success they have now revived the 24 hour clock modeal, and expanded it.

So, as of December 1 st, Friday is to disappear from the week. This is partly because of the many references to Friday on the forum, but also because Friday is a day that brings pleasure and relief to many people, and the ER's dislike people having pleasure.

The economic rationalists agenda is to next eliminate Monday, because too many public holidays fall on Monday - they will then progressively eliminate the other days. each day thus deleted will simply be called "another day".

Over the period from December 1 this year to january 1 2008, the days of the week will lose their names, as will the months. 2007 is going to be a horror year - no more days with names and we will see our months vanish in the same way as the seasons.

Johny Howard and Smiling Pete Costello have made huge budget allocations, to be announced at the end of Novemebr, to support a massive public education program for all of 2007, as they are aware there will be monumental public outcry about this program.

The outcome will be that as at January 1 2008, all days will be numbered from 1 to 365 (as is already happening on many desk calendars). each 4th year an extra day will be added, and the dy after that will go back to day one.

Each day will be called either "another day" or day (whatever the number is). All refernces to months, weeks, seasons, etc will be deleted from calendars, diaries, computers - anywhere they currently exist.

To summarise: Friday will be the first to go, followed by Monday. Progressively from January, each month will disappear as it ends. From 2008 we will have numbered days only - no day names, no month names.
We will also be compelled to use only 24 hour time. And of course we will only have 'weather', no seasons.

Please write to your local MP, or PM if you live near him, and object. We have to make a stand for Friday, and I happen to really like a decent Tuesday now and again and am a bit partial to the odd Thursday. W must protect or days!

Cliff, I am sorry to break this to you.
