I think that was a bit of poetic license, channel 10 have just been showing qualifying. It was delayed while they cleaned up the accident and tried to free the injured driver.

Must have been fairly serious. It took them a while to stabilise the two guys before flying them to Bathurst hospital. I saw the crash on TV but you don't get the real perspective of the speed these guys are travelling at. I really do hope they're both OK. They've both got young families.

From what I saw on the box, the Ford driver did a bloody good job of lessening his vehicles impact. Reactions like that at that speed is bloody amazing!

Yep, I thought the same when SA's Clarke turned the wheel in an instant and nearly hit him full side on rather than nose first.
Shocker of a start to the event but it is afterall motor racing, a dangerous sport and not for the faint hearted.
All drivers know that, if they don't they're in the wrong game.

I was impressed by the second drivers effort to reduce the impact. There just wasn't quiet enough room for him to pull it off.

Channel ten mentioned the drivers a while back, say 1pm on Saturday (for the pedants, that's a guess at the time  ), and said both were still critical. Must've been one heck of a shunt.

Check the time of posting for how current this is but ...
Channel ten, in news highlights, just announced that the drivers are still on life support :(
I'm hoping I mis-heard it and it's only one driver but either way, it's not good :(

Just heard on TV that Grant has regained consciouness but Mark Porter (Yellow Ford) is still on life support. Here's hoping they both make a full recovery.
