Hi again, different topic. I am about to rewire my retic system, previous owner installed all the wiring to 5 stations in the sand, wires are now rusty, and the system is not functional. Have had the controller checked and all is fine there:D. I am laying conduit to the solenoids, my query is, when wiring at the solenoid, I have one wire that comes to a station, and there is a spare wire to C in the control box. Do I wire all the solenoids to the one "C" wire then relay that wire to the controller. AS it is it is a shambles. The control box has 9 stations, with two Power, 1 "C" 1 "M" then the numerical order from 1:9, will be installing a cpl of new solenoids to run 5 stations. Any advice will be appreciated, could get Total Eden to come and fix it, but alas the buck stops here, on a carers pension, so a hundred bucks or more is a waste of $$$, ones I don't have. Thanks in advance

Not sure what controller you have. I have a very old controller and it sounds as though you might have the same type. "C" is used as the common for all solenoids. 1 thru 9 is for you solenoids and the M is a "master" solenoid.

Lets say you have one solenoid which is feeding a manifold off which your other solenoids will be fed. As you will need to energise the solenoid feeding the manifold and one of the other solenoids, the solenoid feeding the manifold needs to be on everytime you want to water your garden so will be connected to "M".

Basically you always will have two solenoids enegised, "M" and one of 1 thru 9.

Not sure how to put a picture here and I hope my explanation is good enough.
