Hurro.

An easy question which should result in a straightforward answer.

When I check my greenies / reddies, some folk have added a smiley to their comments.

In my experience, there isn't an option to click on a smiley, so how do you guys do it?

I use them a lot, so it would benefit me when I submit comments.:):) (told you I use them a lot :D:D [see? :p:p ] )

you just type in the keyboard commands,

for example to put in a smile, type : and then ) at the end of the message. I can't put them together in this post because then it would look like this :)

Send me one with a greeny and I'lkl tell you if it worked.

Okay, I have not mastered the quoting from an earlier posting, but noting your avatar and having been enjoying your postings ever since I joined, I have to ask:
Does the typing knig do it intentionally or accidentally? I have seen it so much, I figure it has to be a style thing, like "dyslexics untie".

You don't have to master the quoting thing. Just stop deleting the bit like [QUOTE] etc. (assuming that you are) or just reply by hitting the quote button instead of the reply button.

Now, my typos. Well i edit a lot and get most of them but it's just a problem with typing too fast with two fingers on a keyboard and not reading it back until it gets posted. That's why i get lettesr backwards sometimes. One finger is slower thna the other. :D

Something that's absolutely meaningless since the lowest common denominators had their say. :(

But before then, ahhh... those were the days! One well thought-out post or piece of sparkling repartee could send you to the giddying heights; one mis-timed word could relegate you to the pits of despair.

I remember one time when I was walking down the road, with a turnip pinned to my lapel (jeeze, the things we did to be fashionable!) when I ambled past this silly old fool. He was getting to that time of life when he'd start telling stories to anyone within hearing, tales that went nowhere and came to no real end. Oh, how we used to laugh at that silly git! Anyway, I digress. One day I was walking down the street, with a turnip pinned to my lapel (rutebegas were the absolute height of fashion, but I came from a working neighbourhood) when...

I forget! And my teeth hurt... ZZZZzzzZZZZzzzz...

Reputation points.....

Do you know how to give them?
You can add a comment & insert a smiley face.

I don't know.
Third.
Who?
Who's on first.
Who's on first?
Yes.

Classic stuff, isn't it, even if I cannot find where the quote option is, but I will, after watching videos.
CJ (still to master how to add my phrase, but TBC)

Well that was as confusing as all of the above but at least made me laugh although tiredness and repeating stories about turnips somehow made my head start to spin a little and probably is good idea to go and get some sleep...or at least stop playing on computer

I personally think a nice brocolli is very stylish pinned to your shirt or sticking out your back pocket, also very high in calcium and in a pinch could be good for dusting off your work before applying a finish

But as Cliff properly appreciates, with the right glue, you can have a veritable vegetable voyage, without need to hazard the thorns of Blackberry Liquer.
Aaaaaaaaaaaah.
