Here's one for the Kiwis amongst us!
I've had a couple of days off work with the 'flu. I can't lay and sleep any more, so I've been doing some serious Net surfing.
As an ex-Kiwi, with Scottish heritage (like so many there), and a bit interested in art, I've long noticed similarities between Celtic art and Maori/Polynesian art. Seems I wasn't alone! All sorts of conspiracy stuff there to be enjoyed, and now the Celts beat the Maori to NZ! Try these: http://www.celticnz.co.nz/

I'm now following the ancient Phoenicians into Australia, on the their search for copper etc!! And I'm not the slightest bit Phoeny:p

I'm interested to hear anyone's thoughts on this:).

Cheers,

Andy,

I haven't studied same I must confess, but I have been fascinated in what I can best describe as "Celtic" rythmns in heaps of other cultures.

I suspect (because that's a lot easier than researching anything) that the underlying geometrical principals are probably the sorts of things that by happy coincidence(?) appear in many parallel places.

Just when I can see a bit of daylight at the end of the tunnel, you have me running through my photo collection to overlay some Maori "lattice" over some Celtic geometry to see how close it all fits! Bastard!

I expect a full dissertation once all my blades are sharp on Saturday fortnight!

Cheers,

P
