years ago I got this campher laurel blanket box. This was before wood restoration goy into my system:D well I sanded it down and cleaned it up then rubbed huge amounts of a beeswax type wax (I think:confused: ) now Id like to get it finished properly.
Ive bought new brass wear for hinges, clasps and carry handles that will aged somehow. The locks were non existant and Iam in 2 minds weather to leave the holes 'natural as now' or make a brass plate that would have a new key hole slot in ithem.
Also suggestions please on finishing should I scrape the existing wax off and start again if so with what I open to polite suggestions.
This had come out from England and did have aLondon newspaper in it advertising the world premier of 'A Bridge to Far' ( mid 70's) I sold that single page for $50.
regards Tonto
