Hi Guys,
Almost ready to start the bathroom reno, it's been a long time coming.
In all the reading I've done, the floor in the shower (we're going hobless and frameless glass) is supposed to be graded with cement and then tiled.
I'm going to be using the Hardies CF sheets for the subfloor, which I believe can be tiled straight over. The shower floor is going to be sloped to a grate. If I can get the appropriate slope on the subfloor (easy enough), can I just tile over that?
I was also wondering if it would be acceptable to box up my own shower drain (I'm not sure if the pic will make any sense). I'm picturing a 20mm gap between the edge of the floor and the wall with a box drain below.
Any advice greatly appreciated
