Well I'll finish the major reno works on Jow104's summer house in the next few weeks.
Then I'll hafta build the furniture for John & Janet to use.
Might use it as an opportunity to draw some plans for my website.
All suggestions about furniture styles welcomed.
(though I do have a fondness for Arts & Crafts stuff)

The 'auld fruit case' era always works well ... and it's easy to make too :D

Minimalist I reckon.
Mattress on the floor, sit cross-legged on the floor, you know the sort of thing.:D

Take a piece of wood, screw in a hook, hang it on the wall.
Stick the keys to the workshop on said hook...
Just an idea of course. :D
I'd keep it simple and practical myself.

I'm an 'Arts & Crafts' sort of person too, with a distinct leaning towards the Stickley end of the spectrum, but a bit of Greene & Greene would be alright too.
I also like British 'Campaign Furniture' too, but the brass fittings are very $$$$ these days :(

Quick furniture you say there Bob, better you than I, good old garden style or playground style bench stools spring to mind.
Take 10-12" wide piece of structural 10' long cut 2@ 2' legs off it, place new found legs 8-12' in from very ends, drill holes & using bridge bolts secure from above, reinforce with 2 offcuts & 45 degrees & Viola! things to sit on.
Takes about 15 minutes per, used to make em for family barbeques, then after BBQ family would take them:rolleyes: . next time make new ones.:)

Wongo,
I think I prefer Saint Vinneys Classic Emporium to ikea.

Could be an interesting concept for bedroom furniture.
.... furniture from sleepers .... for sleepers might be appropriate.
S'pose I could even use a hollow tree for a wardrobe.
(theres a couple of biggies out in the bracken)
Got a nice messmate root lined up for the dining table base but i'm wondering about chair styles. Slab sided could look great but too heavy.
