I have a hardwood floor in OK condition except there are a few castor scratches here & there & high traffic areas are pretty dull. The finish seems OK (water does not soak in) but I would like to fix the dull areas & get rid of the scratches. I don't know what the existing finish is. A full scale sanding may be too much for me as I don't have the budget for professionals & I know my limitations as a DIYer.

This is quite an old floor (1950s/60s) - what is the best way to fix it?

thanks very much for your time!

I get good results from a product call Gemini and versedent made by peerless,a couple of coats. Which u can buy from bunnings. Read the instructions and see what you think..
Test spots are a good idea in cupboards to make sure it dose not reject.
For heavy duty 7008 will stick to just about any thing...but test again...
You may need to light sand the floor to prepare it.
General professional will re-coat to..
good luck....
