moisture metre

Can anyone help me ?
I want to make a moisture metre out of a electrical multi metre. I have been told that it can be done but cannot find instruction's anyware.

I looked into doing this myself prior to purchasing one and found that the resistance measurement required for the drier timber was beyond the 20-40Mohms max of most meters. I was not able to find any reference table to timber moisture vs resistance but simply borrowed a meter and using 1M ohm and 10M ohm resistors connected to the moisture meter determined the likely range required.
