Cool, time for another bleeding heart thread about nasty conditions in China.
Little about the way Chinese factories work is pleasant or even acceptable by our standards, but you can guarantee if you've got a product labelled "Made in China" it's been made in a factory where people have been working long hours and earning little (by our standards).
Nike is the company that usually cops the flack. Interestingly I am aware of a couple of western based Chinese manufacturers are looking "offshore" at the moment, as they can't compete price-wise as labour is getting too expensive!
I think it's fair to say that the day is fast approaching when "luxury goods" will once again regain their true meaning.
In the meantime, let China sort out it's labour issues, we've got a Nuclear Dam to fight!
Cheers,
P
