Hi All,

Noticed 4 lights on the front of a building which have a cord and actually plug into a power point. Two are flouro lights and two small spots. I was always of the opinion that this would be an illegal way of doing things.

I would think this is the type of thing that would void their insurance!!!!

Depends on the type of fittings ( sockets ) where they are fitted , If they were done by a quallified lecco and if approved by the local authority.

MIL loves her xmas lights so I had fitted weatherproof sockets up under the eves with a single switch inside, along with high shelves for the transformers all easy to put up and totally legal :D
