Ah, that reminds me to make a big brother WW project - a plywood box to encase the tube in. Glue, screw, nail, rope...

At least it will help to boost ABC's and SBS's rating at 7pm. No way in hell I'll be watching that tripe:mad:. I'm not huge on this kkind of reality TV. I didn't mind the biggest loser but more for the fact that I am currently trying to lose weight. Bigest loser had a reason and I think that it has made a difference to a lot of people but BB is just utter drivel.

Fair go Skew!!
I admit I read the TV guide each week especially paying attention to ABC and SBS lately. There are some fantastic programs on them and with little advertising you never hear about them.

I also have a daughter that is at that age (8) where all this big hype tv is all the talk between her and her friends. Every night "Can we watch.........cause (insert friends name) watches it!!"

Reality TV?? I don't think so. Reality is sitting in front of a monitor for four or five hours a day typing messages to other forum members. Do you really want to watch a show about that?

Ah, yes. The kidleys, TV Guides on legs, major factors in the ratings. Not a problem here, thankfully.

Mind you, apart from the news, a few doco's & David Marks in the wee hours there's nothing I really want to watch. All these cable channels and I still prefer a book. Sad, isn't it? :o

a nice stir - and in an hour got more replies that vast majority of woodwork related posts.

For the record I find the thing repugant and an insult to my intelligence.

I'd rather hang around the forum than watch big brother or any of the so-called reality tv (yeah the ones where they have to stage the real events and have outsiders interfere to make it interesting) even if all we are doing is debating reputation points, purple circles and tree-hugging festivals at maleney.

Foxtel? Yup All those lovely channels, filled with just as many adverts, except these ones you pay for. When it's all boiled down, all you're getting is more channels to ignore. I gotta agree about the V8's too. :(

"Why bother"?? How appropriate! :D:D

gretels looking a bit tired though...

Ahh, we've finally found the demographic (however you spell the damned word) they're aiming at. How do you do the ratings form Zed? Send in the empty banana skins? :D

For the record, I loathe Why Bother, my son loathes Why Bother, my gf loathes Why Bother, her son loves it - sad kid really

Well on SBS the rock smashing ceiling painter was pretty good, and the Amazon rainforest after it was even better.

daddles you should write an essay on why big brother causes depression. Maybe you have to be depressed to watch it in the first place?

TV means you get less time in the shed.

We got our own BB here... In the local news here some sick puppy has been going around all the public toilets/changerooms and drilling holes to do their own BB thing and then posting the locations on the net somewhere so all the sicko's can perv on little kids and stuff.
We are taking action and pissing in every small hole we can find in walls!

Harry,
they caught a perve up our way a while back, he actually climbed down into the tank of composting toilets at a national park and spent hours crouching down there in the sewage so he could use a camera and a mirror to take pictures of girl's backsides!
