Hi all

In answer to your question;

Yes I have found this a very welcomming forum.

The wealth of information and favours given are extremely helpful to a newbie.

I have also learnt that sometimes you must clarify your intentions and perhaps your budget. Some of have very little in the way of woodworking machinery.

All in all an excellent forum.

Thanks Neil and co.

G'day everyone, just thought I'd introduce myself.
I'm a long time looker, first time poster and let me say this is a very informative forum with everyone contributing their useful opinions.
Like I always say it doesn't matter how much you think you know someone will always know more about a particular subject.

Anyway I look forward to the many posts ahead of me.:D

I am a plasterer and hang around the plastering/painting/tiling forum. I just love this forum. There are just so many people on here with genuine problems that are looking for help. I am a plasterer by trade and love nothing more than helping people with plastering questions. I will be here for a long while I think.

It is a great place to hang out.

Cheers

Rod Dyson

Voted-- "Yep I'm here aren't I"

By the same token there are many many cruel and venal people here. But that's part of the attraction. :D

Only when you get to know 'em. They're still welcoming at the beginning...

'"Welcome to my parlour", said the spider to the fly.' :D

I reckon it's welcoming. Occasionaly you some clown on his soap box who reckons he knows the lot but inevitably they get drummed out one way or the other. Welcoming, very informative and fun.

i've closed this poll. I would prefer to see this thread go the way of the dinosaurs....:)

think outside the box - a newb logs on for the first time... he sees this thread at the top of the new posts lists .. whats he gunna think ?

In fact.... having just said that..... I think I'll close this thread! if the other mods decide to reopen i'll consider my self chastised! :)
