DanM seems you forgot to add the poll to your thread. anyway how many threads do we need on this? I for one thought it was common knowledge that the triton power tools were manufactured offshore. anyway enjoy your night, theres still a few dozen current threads over teh fiorum you havent posted this in tonight. you got a big reddy coming your way, not for bagging triton, i respect everyones opinion to like or dislike whatever equipment there is, but, theres no need to to be posting your dissatisfaction in more than one or two places. its just getting boring reading the same $h!t on every thread i open:mad:

Thanks

New to this, i thought the more i posted the sooner i would get replies. The question still is should tools have where they are made on them?

I will relax!

So talking the triton router for example , if the gearbox is made in a diffrent country to the casing which is made in another country to the motor , assembled in a fourth & designed in another , where does the packaging come from and what is its place of manufacture???

Who cares you tend to buy a tool because of it's ability to do the job , its cost , word of mouth as to how good it is , what you want it to do, warrenty etc

Do you honestly believe that every component in a Bosch, router sold in australia was made in germany, and are any parts made under licence.
are the ball bearings used from sweden etc

So perhaps triton is being honest as their product may not come from any one country and not putting any one country down as place of origion is correct.

I agree, I own festool and metabo gear, there parts are out sourced all over the world and assembeld in germany. A can of baked beans from coles homebrand states made in Australia from imported and local goods! The Triton router on its body states Manufacturing & Design., Pty Ltd. AUSTRALIA. Thier drill does not state anything, only on the battery, Triton Design & Manufacturing Co. ABN 35007573417 14-18 Mills St Cheltenham Australia 3192. I think this is misleading to the public, in the last hour i have learnt that Triton is now GMC. It might be general knowlege to the forum, but not too me. Unless you are used to buying powere tools the greater public would think that Triton is manufactured in Australia from imported and local goods.

Know product weather food or tools should mislead the novice!

Thanks

Dan

Not so, if you asked the average person in the street where tool are made, Im sure most wouldnt have a clue or care less as to where they are made.

I think we should have a poll to see whether a poll should actually contain a poll...... or whether Poles should be allowed to post a poll.....

Then I guess that GMC bought the company from the Hills group not triton would also be news.
As to misleading the public , they are not claiming to be made in australia, so how is it misleading, you have mentioned a can of baked beans having a country of origin lable , under present rules I believe it only needs 40% australian product to be labled product of Australia.

thanks girls

keep the triton skirt down

So some further drivel and playing the man rather than a reasoned argument to support your anti Triton bias. All because you bought some Triton stuff from "crime converters  " which broke down.

This kind of reply was really not surprising coming from some new flash in the pan who this forum collectively considered to be a disreputable mongrel.

These flashers come and go, we've seen them before and no doubt will see some more again. Pity really because you showed promise early on but degenerated rather quickly.

Have fun standing up in the red.:p

Peter.

BTW My apologies for correcting your post, I don't like to quote spelling errors. :D

Proofs in the pudding, never baged triton preformance, and me drill and router are going good, havent broken down. I bag there marketing, which i beleive is misleading and in this great robust democracy of Australia of, i have i right to voice my opinion!

"Crime Converters" that is slander, will the girls back you up in court! bringing the forum in to disrepute.

Collectively "you and the triton girls" considerd me to be a disreputable mongrel. At the next Triton bbq cut my crust off the fairy bread, look forward to see u there in public, being a mongrel dog and all.

I showed promise early? Save that talk for band camp!

Correcting my quote and spelling errors! That is a poll, member who cant spell and dont no how to post! should they be allowed on this forum and should the under educated voice an opineion?

Sorry for wanting truth and not spellen so gud.

Dan,
just simmer down mate, life's too short to be getting upset at what people do or don't say, especially people you can't even see. If you settle down and give the forum anther chance then I'm the forum will give you another chance.
By the way, not saying this to be smart but just as a bit of trivia, I was reliably informed the the term "bastard" was only applied to the illigitimate son of a nobleman. Not the daughter of a nobleman, nor any illegitimate child of a noblewoman. Specifically it was to do with deying heriditary rights to titles or lands. So it seems you're not a bastard after all. ;)
