View Full Version : Should we have a section on the forum for the woodrat?

there has been a lot of interest on the forum over the last 6 months (well thats how long i personally have noticed it cos thats when i started the research that culminated in my purchase of the woodrat) and the comment has been made many times that we need a separate section for the growing interest in these wonderful machines. There's probably about 20 forum members at a quick count of woodrat-related threads who are responding positively as either current owners, past or potential future owners of 'rats. there are 95 threads on the forum which refer to the 'rat.
What do you think? should we have our own section??http://www.woodworkforums.ubeaut.com.au/images/icons/icon14.gifhttp://www.woodworkforums.ubeaut.com.au/images/icons/icon14.gifhttp://www.woodworkforums.ubeaut.com.au/images/icons/icon14.gif

Another way to learn about RATS is to read Doug's & NewLou's posts. They never misses an opportunity to promote them.:D :D

I reckon giving the Ratters a subheading under the routing forum would be a great idea and not take up to much forum real-estate
Come on Neil Robbie let us have this one!!!
I guarantee that in bout 5 years the RAt will have a CULT following!!!

I am in favour of a new section but this would cause another to be bumped. Therefore I would be happy with a sub heading unders routers
It has been real good to follow the Rat series mainly subscribed to by Mew Lou and Doug
I do not own a rat but am seriously considering it
Just my thoughtshttp://www.woodworkforums.ubeaut.com.au/images/icons/icon10.gifhttp://www.woodworkforums.ubeaut.com.au/images/icons/icon10.gif

The woodrat is a router with a fancy fence, right?
So there is already a router forum.
Look here (http://www.woodworkforums.ubeaut.com.au/forumdisplay.php?f=20)
Am I missing something here?
Al

I'm not really across the woodrat thing myself but Neil is usually pretty accomodating.
Have you asked him?
Perhaps, as has been said, a sub-heading in the router forum would be the best place for it.
BTW I didn't vote 'cause you didn't have a "I don't care one way or the other" option. :p :)

What the hell. It looks like Betty Boob Bouncers page above this post.
Router froum has been moved from General Woodwork to it's own Forum with a sub forum of Router Jigs. Put your ratty stuff in there. Other ratty posts will be moved to there in good time, as will Gifkin etc.
Cheers - Neil :)
