may not be in from the cold but a lurker no, proberly a member with an off beat sence of humor , I like that but a troll no dosen't fit the description as http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_troll this is just a member who has come up with a good second identity.
How many times have you seen the question raised what does SWMBO mean , I get the feeling that its well reconised here but not generally, thus this member is possibly a forum member that wishes to make remarkes that won't reflect on his/her standing or someone just having a good joke
Buy and large who cares, eventually the way the posts are written will give members a guide as to who is posting

Most of our Trolls are members.
I know what a troll is...
I also know that this forum has 'evolved' troll & the 'wiki' has caught up with us yet. ;)
The SWMBO ref is the giveaway that they have been around for a while.
I was always sure that our 'new member' was an 'old member' & their 'alter-ego' has been lurking til now. :D

Well it's definitely not my SWMBO by the look of that avatar.
Besides which she still thinks a computer is a bloke who travels to the city to go to work.

I don't think it is an old member. Doesn't appear to be an alter ego either. I know most of them.

For years that I am aware of. Not just online forums either but I have seen it used in a car club newsletter about 25 years ago.
