A friend who workes for the fedral census , delivers the questinairs and collects them again , told me that he just the papers through for this years census , april I think
This takes him about 3 weeks and pays around $1500, so if anyone out there is intrested in doing the same now would be a good time to check at your local Fedral Government offices and get an application in

You heard about the wife of the travelling salesman who was having an affair with a young Swedish lover, everyone knew except her husband, anyway it was census night and her lover was in, next morning she was filling out her census form when one of her neighbours came in for coffee, she saw the form and exclaimed 'Have you taken Leif off your census' Boom Boom...

I was a graduate working with the ABS during the 2001 census. 'Twas madness. The casual work is pretty good, and pays very well. I'd recommend it for those looking for some extra cash for sure.
Do you nkwo how many times I've heard that joke!?

Nah nah, if you are doing it for the money then don’t waste your time.
The inlaws, both retired and money is no object, are very much involved with the local electoral office. They only do it to keep themselves busy. Last time it took them weeks to complete.
Sometimes they go out for hours for as little as 10 dollars. People are not home, then you have to go back, you go at night when most people are at home, meeting strange people, you drive your our car and all that. They were exhausted at the end of it.
