I'm after some advice in attaching new pvc stormwater drains to old cement drains. I understand that u can get rubber things to do this and am wondering if anyone knows the name of them and how to correctly do it.
Any advice appreciated

They come under many names..Aussie rubbers, plumb quick etc. They simply slip over each pipe and have a large hose clamp to tighten.Just make sure you know what sizes of pipe you are dealing with,as there are differen sizes for different types of pipe.

I wouldn't bother with storm water. You can just stick the end of the PVC into the end of the cement pipe and put some mortar around it. If it fits that is :o
Have used the rubber boots with sewer. They have a hose clamp on each end and there's different sizes for different size PVC/clay/concrete combinations. Just push the boot onto the PVC, tighten the small hose clamp around the PVC, roll the boot back over itself, put the big hose clamp over the concrete pipe, shove the PVC into the concrete pipe (or butt it up if it wont fit), roll the boot back over the old pipe, slide the hose clamp over the boot and tighten.
