How great is it that we can shop for a new dishwasher online.
Research all the features and analyse reviews.
Order at 5pm and have it installed by 9am the next day.
Had a couple of items left in the washer.
Hope someone can tell me what they are and why they were not installed.

Have to laugh... Most times when I fix my car I have something left over.

Item 1 looks like it should be in the bottom of the DW where it drains, to catch any bits, and should be cleaned on a regular basis.
It may also be for the sink drain for a DW that drains into the bowl.
Item 2 maybe should be on the door base or somewhere in that region, or could be a seal to go between DW and cupboard at top.
Have a look at install instructions or phone installer and ask.
Or phone manufacturer and ask for technical.

If there was no manual supplied with the item received then Google the make and model of the item you purchased and add manual.
There should be a list of the items provided and installation instructions for the particular unit.
I suggest item 1 is an inlet filter, item 2 possible steam deflector or kick panel seal.

Three threads and all have problems.
What the hell was wrong with the installers. Bits left behind, plumbing apparently done wrong. Strewth.:gaah:
I'd be contacting someone about this. Seller, installer, Master Plumbers Association. Someone needs a good. :smack:
Pathetic, service all round. including what appears to have been the wrong supply of seal. :ranting2:
Sorry... just couldn't help myself. :B
What ever happened to good/professional service. :~

I agree with Droog, it looks like an inlet filter if I judge the scale correctly from the sink corrugations. It looks broken so was probably the old one, there would have been a new one on the new hose. The grey one may be a noise strip or a steam strip. On ours the noise strip looked like that but the steam strip was aluminium sticky tape. The noise strips run on the sides of the dishwasher but aren't much use if they don't make a snug fit to the alcove. Do you see any rubber strips like that installed on the front edges of the dishwasher? Best way is to google the manual..
