Hey Fellers and Fellas,

To be honest, I'm a metal worker, not a woodworker, and I joined because one of your members (@kwijibo99) shared a document on restoring a Wohlhaupter UPA 4 Boring and Facing head (https://www.woodworkforums.com/f65/overhauling-wohlhaupter-upa-4-a-185373) about 10 years ago. I'm hoping I'll be able to download it at some point, however I currently cannot.

I belong to a handful of metal working forums (PracticalMachinist, HobbyMachinist, etc...) so I'm familiar with and respect forum participation, and I apologize for being a bit of a mooch here. There is such limited info on these UPAs and I'm eager to get any info I can. Is there some limitation on downloading documents from the site after joining?

Thank you for your hospitality.

Andrew

I guess with my first post, I'm now able to download documents. The guide for the boring head I was referring to is amazing!

For what it's worth, I'm a big fan of Australia. I work in agriculture and have traveled many thousands of kilometers in some of your farming regions up and down the Murray River from Adelaide to Renmark to Mildura, to Robinvale to Griffith and back multiple times. I've also spent time in the farming areas in the higher elevations outside of Cairns like Atherton and have done a tour in the region south of Perth. There's some beautiful country out there! Australia seems like a classier version of the US, with better accents!

Anyways, thanks for having me and allowing me to join and download the document. I'm very grateful!

Welcome. It sounds like you’ve seen more of Australia than I have! I’ve had some excellent driving holidays in the USA.

For sure. The US is a lot of fun to tour by car, motorcycle, RV or whatever you prefer. It's always exciting and different. Thanks for your comment!

G'Day & Welcome to the Great Southern Land and to a top forum "Andrew" .........
There are quite a few members from across the USA and the rest of the world.....
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [Work In Progress] photos with build notes.
Enjoy the forum.
Enjoy your woodwork.....
Cheers from On Top DownUnder, crowie
