who's worked with laminex hi-macs?

who has done vanities, kitchens etc.. with this stuff??

im looking at doing some vanities with it, just basic stuff, flat surfaces, nothing fancy, is it any good??
how do you polish the edges? how do you cut it? how do you glue it??

i cant seem to get this stuff from anywhere, the only place in cairns who has it reckons you have to be licensed to use it or something.
