What are good LED downlights these days??

i want to get downlights installed, 2 in each bedroom and 4 in the lounge room, need to be dimmable, what are good ones to get these days??

I was speaking to the manager at a pub about how easy was it to access the LED's behind his fancy new backlit bar front. He said not too bad as he had to constantly change the LED lights, even trying diff brands over every 3-6 months until a sparky said switch to a new brand. Since then he'd had no issues. I asked to see and he was happy to show me the box of spares. It was SAL brand which I've seen previously and others I've spoken to have said they have been happy with them.

After getting frustrated with numerous GU10 LED's failing in my kitchen I almost went back to CFL's, untill these guys said try one of their Driverless LED's. He even said the one he'd sold me had a 5 year warranty which I thought was a joke given I'd been replacing LED's twice a year!

They've all outlasted the warranty period and I have a couple of spares, just in case. So maybe give them a call as well, advice was solid for me.
Their pricing is awesome too, shame they closed their bricks and mortar store that was close by but glad they're still operating.

When we had our kitchen renovated, I purchased IC4 rated downlights so contact with non flammable roof insulation is ok. Not sure exact rules (leave that to electrician) so do your own research. They were Atom brand

I used to buy them in lots of about 300 at a time to get good pricing as we used a lot of them. I found that most brands were pretty good reliable but so e didn’t like having a dimmer installed, I don’t think that is an issue anymore though
if I was you I would be buying from someone like Beacon lighting that have a decent warranty and choose a common hole size so you dont have any problems replacing them diwn the track.
They all come set up to plug into a plug base so after initial installation can easily swapped out yourself later
