Hi, name is Sam or Sammy. I am from the Gold Coast hinterland.:D

Not any experience with wood. I did make some extra shelf the pantry out of pine and wood glue:o, not totally professional but has held up well. Home has lovely vaulted ceilings with beams western cedar and 3 large beams ( I googled i think they are LVL) timber glued together. Idea to to restore this area and entrance. I dont like the idea the previous owners painted the window, and door frames, and skirtings. The only window no painted is the kitchen. I think its mertanti, as the house is from the early 80s.

I have thought of designs for a new skirting with timber to match the ceiling. I think i found the right forum for such help, so great to be here :)

@cava
Thank you for the welcome.

@crowie
Thank you for the welcome and information.

only bit of woodwork, pine shelves, on the floor of the pantry. The pantry shelves, maybe someday they could be timber. atm are white (assume chipboard).

A few imperfections though, it has held up well

Note the horrible colour of the skirting and door frame - have to change this

Hi Crowie, i cant send a pm yet, what section would i post about the front entry door - its 42 years old the house and the door has never had anything done to it, i did last year glue the door and fix it. It seems a good door as the guy from doors plus, said it was a really nice door. The frame is timer maybe meranti. its dirty and needs to be restrained varnish whatever it needs....... i thought reno thread, then maybe its should go somewhere else
