Putting Cable On A wall

The house I've just moved in to has the NBN box in a very stupid place.
I need to run a small phone cable up the wall, across a 2 metre wall, turn a corner, across a 3metre wall, another corner and then along about 6metres of wall.
How can I attach the cable to the wall without knackering the paint?

You don't usually attache the cable to the wall, you get it installed into the wall cavity.

sounds like moving your devices to wifi will be easier

It's just below the power point I've circled in black, the red line is where I need to run the cable - I need hooks or clips of some kind that won't mar the paint.

Or similar wifi or over power extender.

Best is gets cable run, however if it’s a rental that may not be an option. Stick on clips may also be a bad idea if rental due to future damage when removed.

What sort of floor do you have and is there under floor access?

WiFi, so when you find that one position for your desk is not right, you can move it anywhere and also use other devices all at the same time.

20+ years ago (and pre-WIFI!) I was in the same situation; I needed to wire my computer to a telephone socket in another room. I did it by purchasing a 20m roll of flat 4-core telephone cable (https://www.jaycar.com.au/4-wire-telephone-cable-2-pairs-sold-per-metre/p/WB1620) and running it along the skirting boards and around door architraves. I attached it using THESE TYPE OF NAILED CLIPS (https://www.mjselectricalsupplies.com.au/1.5mm-cable-clips-100-pack); ensuring the nail went into the corner joint between the wood and the plaster. When I moved they pulled out smoothly leaving just a tiny hole. A softly rounded teaspoon handle was used to burnish the paint around the holes which closed them up even more; I finally finished by rubbing some very wet filler into them and then rubbing that off with a damp cloth. From memory most of the walls were papered and the skirtings/architraves were painted a gloss magnolia colour. The filled holes were like tiny blobs of white paint; you really had to look to find them and unless you knew they were there you just wouldn’t see them.
