Ok I know a lot of you don't care for footy but have a say anyhow.
It's more about TV Channels anyhow.

I voted that I don't really care. I am kind of glad that I don't have to listen to Eddie commentate on Collingwood games and to Dermie showing how little he actually understands about football.
Will miss Dennis Commeti tho. Him and Tim Lane are the two best TV commentators around.

hallelujah... only one more year of the horribly over exposed and over rated mcguire.
Dont fret over denis he will be back on 7:D just wish 10 had lost the rights to that stupid 5 minute warning clock

My only problem is having to listen to Bruce MacIvaney or Tim Watson, would rather turn the sound off.
Just too "Special" for me.......
Besides can't watch either 7 or 10 as Foxtel dosen't carry them yet. (No free to air antenna on main TV, yet. No need as I don't miss either.)

We don't have a free to air antenna either - Foxtel only but I get all the free to air channels. I don't see why you don't. We are on Foxtel digital but I got them on analogue before as well.

Football aint football anymore, it is just the stuff that fills the gaps between adverts and purile commentary.
Give it back to the ABC.

Did the ABC TV ever have the footy? If they have it well over 40 years ago.

Quote from Grunt. "Did the ABC TV ever have the footy? If they have it well over 40 years ago."
I guess I am thinking back to the days of watching SANFL (pre 1970) and WAFL (from 1970). To be honest, since AFL destroyed the State leagues football on TV has been a waste of good shed time.

Hmmm I have all the channels and have no problems with SBS, ABC, Nine but don't seem to be able to find 7 or 10? Do you know what channel numbers they are on? It may be a Victorian thing perhaps?

On digital, 9 is 100, 7 is 107 and ten is 110. (I think - I'm a work ATM)
It's on the channels menu screen anyway. You'll find that 7 and 10 don't have listed programs because they dont have agreements with Foxtel but the channels are still there.

Worked it out, we have satellite which does not retransmit 7 and 10.
Not a problem for me anyhow as I don't miss having them.

G'day,
The skill has gone out of the game I reckon.
Besides I hate the stuff, that's why I love the off season, no-one is playing so I don't get bombarded every second on the TV with who's doing what and what big footy player cut his thumb on a bit of paper etc. :( mad:
I reackon we should see van races like on Top Gear last night - that at least is interesting. :D :

G'day PTC, same in Melbourne. At least this year the final of the State of Origin is in Melbourne so I'll get to see a game live on the box. Go the Broncos!
