Whilst it is really nice of you to hold a barbie to celebrate my birthday, I won't be able to make it due to the distance and the high price of petrol in Kempsey. But thanks anyway. Make sure you have a drink for me.(or three)

I'll be there, looking forward to it. :)
Al, what would be the best/quickest way to get there, coming from Pakenham it looks like Sth Eastern Fwy, Citylink, West Gate, West. Ring Rd, Hume Hwy could be the go, Plenty Rd looks more direct but slower? Bolte Bridge? (not in my old Melways :o )
Will be taking the Falcon wagon from here, Gumby, Iain, anyone else, - if you'd like a lift and you're not too far off the recommended track, send me a PM.
Cheers.................Sean, little boy :p

Evenin' all
As you've already heard, an excellent day was had by all.
Iain & your truly travelled in to Camberwell, collected WB & Auld Bassoon and made our way up to Al's palacious (sp? salacious ? ) abode, duly identified as such by the pressed Alfoil post surround out front :p
There we encountered the Foilmaster himself, an interstate interloper (Tikki), Groggy, Gumby, & Sturdee.
A fair degree of gasbaggery then took place, examinations of tools and wood, donations of computer peripherals (thanks Greg and Gumby !), and moderate consumption of cool beveridges in the baking Victorian sunshine  (it was after 12.00 NZ time according to chief timekeeper Gumby :D ). Gumby, in between beveridges ;) , gave us a dekko at the new Triton ROS, and due consideration was given (later) to giving it a torture test by working over Al's BBQ hotplate  Fortunately, sanity prevailed on that last point.
Tikki was clearly awestruck at the quality of handsome woodworkers in our fair state, and vowed to return soon (next time she ducks over here to buy a litre of milk :D ).
Al fired up the barbie and duly incinerated bangers, chops, bacon, eggs, tomatoes, and mushrooms (yum!). All served up with noodle, potato, and tossed salads ! What a spread ! Tucker was grouse, and bellies filled.
More gasbagging ensued, then a squizz at Al's shed & tools, oh - not to forget the earlier displays of Al's erotic taste in walking sticks and blackwood slabs  :p
Gra arrived shortly before we left; then we all bade the Foilmaster adieu and hit the road. WB navigated us down to the Western Ring Rd where we waved Tikki off, then continued to WB's house in C'well.
Rob shouted us a cuppa/coldie/chinwag, and an admiring eye was cast over his workshop and tools, partic. the LN ironware :).
Back in the Scootermobile and home james.
Thanks again Al for hosting a terrific day :)

You are kiding me, right? You couldn't love someone who looks like this. http://www.woodworkforums.ubeaut.com.au/image.php?u=1889&dateline=1130416598
And he is a Collingwood supported to boot.

Anyway, I'm checking up on the Gumby/Gumbie thing when I get home. I was sure that Monty Python's version was Gumbie. But all the internet sites say 'Gumby'. I've got the book with the full text of every show at home, it'll be in there.:p
I looked up my book.
Just isn't my day really, is it?
My brain hurts.:(

Al,
Great to attend one of your turns again. It was good to catch up with everyone again and to meet Gra for the first time. It is a pity you were otherwise tied up and couldn't spend more time with us Gra.
Big thanks to Scooter for driving us. You know where I live now so drop in for some darkside talk.
Thanks for explaining the long black thing on the end of that Orange thing Gumby - appreciated.;)
Al, this photo shows you bravely battling the offensive snag but do I see an apparition of the Virgin Mary in the smoke from the BBQ?
Perhaps it is a genie from one the bottles trying to communicate with the darksiders present. I think you should get the image analysed by someone reputable to give us an unbiased professional opinion.
Again thanks and what a great effort from Tikki driving all that way.

Tikki was clearly awestruck at the quality of handsome woodworkers in our fair state, and vowed to return soon (next time she ducks over here to buy a litre of milk :D )...................
...................WB navigated us down to the Western Ring Rd where we waved Tikki off,
Either she is really awestruck, which we can understand :D , or you sent her in the wrong direction for we haven't heard of her yet.
Peter.
