I am aware that a moderator went trundling through that area recently in a rather large heavy campervan.
Maybe there is a connection between the vibration on the road and this fallen tree.

No way Jake too far for a fruity bit o' wood for turning, which to be frank is my least favourite timber related activity, last time I tried it I broke my thumb:o .
The day Il buy timber is the day when you admit handplanes aren't worth mucking round with and give em all away for a nice router and RAS setup:p

RAS=radial arm saw, but actually that's not what I meant:o , damn mixed my acronyms again, shoulda said "ROS" which gives a nice finish, on cranky grains too:p .
