Can't afford any more new tools now, :D ha ?

What does it cost these days to get a vet to your paddock?

I warned you about chasing horses........now that you've caught one what are you going to do with it?

The horse is named Taj. My wife found him.

We had the vet out the other day and it cost $75 to get him out to the paddock and a further $120 in drugs and stuff.

Not a bad nag though. Fricken big. 17.2

What is he/she, looks like a warmblood or TB.
Shop around for vets and look online for a lot of remedies.
Our vet bills are minimal (OK, the vet sponsors us in events etc as does the farrier) and you can do a lot yourself.
I'm sure Sarah will advise you on how to save money.
She's away for a week at the moment buying horses around the State for a few trainers and loving it.

Taj is a bloke TB.

Taj was a slow race horse. That's why we've got him.

I just get all my drugs from the Vet. Cheaper than going through the mob.

I'd be getting the vet onto methadone before you have him out again...

I'm a little confused. Where's this 'horse' everyone keeps talking about? All I see is a rather long nosed woodie covered with sawdust (obviously been sanding something)

Depends on how hungry they are.

BTW, I am now a ferrier. Just removed my first shoe. It was a bit lose. I rang a couple of ferriers but none returned my call. :(

When you put a new one on, will you use the nailgun or drive some tech screws with your cordless?
You can trim the edge to fit neatly with a trimmer and a straight bit.

.... do it the modern way and use West system epoxy.
Then you only have to convince the nag to stand dead still overnight:rolleyes:

School starts at the end of the month, where do you get school shoes for a horse.....or does it just wear joggers or should it be trotters.

Termite is one of the best.

Thanks Iain. I don't think I'll show these to Ms. Grunt. I don't need to give her more ideas on how to spend money.

Now that I'm a farrier, I was wondering who was fairyer? Al or Zed?

Are they made by NIKE, I mean to say you couldn't expect a TB to wear generic shoes.

Did you all notice that the rubber shoes are appropriate for "Horse Mounted Calvary".

Not to be a spelling NAZI, but the idea of Calvary on a horse is fascinating. Mel Gibson missed that bit in his movie.

:D :D :D :D :D
Missed that, conjuring up a picture though, I always thought it was more Donkey and Ass country.
Imagine what Monty Python and Life of Brian could do with that:D :D :D
