Deck Options ?

Replacing old weathered wooden deck, its raised at back of house on away sloping block, would like to "seal" new deck by making water tight to create a dry area underneath. Thinking about wood alternative such as cement sheeting and tiles etc... can't find much on net about other options... any suggestions ?
