Hi Guys

I have a sneaking suspicion that the dampness of the soil under my house (on 1 metre stumps) could be from old decrepid storm water drains connecting up my nice new and shiny 'down pipes'.

Is there a way that you can test the integrity of underground pipes (without calling those expensive looking fellas with little robots and cameras) ???

I reckon the pipes would be real old cast iron jobs.

Thanks again fella's

Steve

it might also be caused by the water table in your area.
High water table, no sun, plenty of shade = damp soil under house.

Steve , the local council test the stormwater drains here by pumping in smoke , mabye a fog / smoke machine that they use at parties , I think dick smith sell them
Kennards etc may even hire them
