G'day all.
I want to buy Neil Ellis's book "A Polishers's Handbook". I'm loathe to use the website to order it because it looks out of date (flashing "NEW" things dated 2002) and articles dated 1996.
I sent a PM to Neil about getting a cap but I haven't heard back. says he's back but...

Is this the proper site or have I stumbled on an archived site???

Is the book available in regular Book shops?
Anyone advise me here?

Why not pick up the phone and give him a call.

1) This is definitely a live site!

2) "A Polishers's Handbook" is also available at some woodwork-related outlets - I've seen it at "The Woodworks" when they were in Gowings in Sydney.

3) Neil will sell you the book in person at most (all?) of the major woodworking shows around the country.

4) The 'right way' to do french polishing isn't going to change much in a mere 10 years, given that it's been around for much longer than that!

Cheers,
Andrew

Jim Carroll could probably supply it by Mail Order See: www.cws.au.com. So would Neil I think.

Coming up for 15 isn't it:rolleyes:
Where abouts are you?
Make some enquiries with your local WW supplier, I know that WW Warehouse in Braeside have them (if that is the right south of the border).

I've used the UBeaut web site to order things a number of times, including the book, so go for it.

I'm in Hobart.
I've heard of that, used to live in Blackmans Bay, brother is still there, lives south of Sandy Bay and I've forgotten the suburb.
10 minutes later, Mt Nelson. Bloody great big mausolleam on the side of the hill.

Hi Scotter
I coulkdn't find any mention of the caps on the site. Which is why I asked the question about its out of date look.

Yep I could call but I must be the heaviest internet shopper around (cos I don't have to leave my shed to shop). I was just checking if the site was current.
I bank online, bought my 4x4 online, deal with my architect on line, bought my new garage/shed online, bought most of my tools online, trade shares, pay all my bills online, in fact the only thing i don't do online is buy meat and groceries (or s.e.x.). :D:D:D:D Ain't the net wonderful?;)
Cheers

Yes, me too. In fact I've bought a lot from neil via his website. I suggested a call because he and Pauline have been in the states at a family wedding. I think they are back but not sure.

I once bought some hardware from a place in Arizona. I ordered and paid for it on Monday and it arrived on the friday of the same week. At the same time I ordered a Dewalt cordless drill from a place on the Gold Coast ans it took 10 days + weekends to get hear.:eek::eek: Work that one out.

said they were back but when you click on the hat link above you get a message saying "closed til the 13th December".:confused:

Sheddy, the 'Net can also meet these needs. I saw a young lady auctioning a day of her time, without restriction, recently.
