Must thank all you lot.

Drove to work this morning feeling way way down. Lots of bills (mainly kids cars and uni fee's etc) no money for Xmas, legal fees looming to try and stop a truck depot being build next door etc etc.

But after having a bit of conversation? on here I'm feeling great and cant wait to get home and into the shed.

Thanks Fella's and Sheila's for the mood improvement therapy oh and some talk of woodwork too.

If you'd had 5 pints of ESB for lunch..... now there's a thought.

I made the mistake of trading in my Z3 on the 23rd Dec, so (apart from no longer having a little red convertible) I now have to arrange 2 lots of insurance, pink slips, green slips, new tyres, rego etc. etc. each Christmas.

Anyway, I've just tried to register both cars on the RTA website.
First car OK.
Second car rejected because "rego not due yet". On investigation, it turns out that someone in Dubbo had accidentally paid my rego for me:eek:

After an hour or so, RTA managed to fix the problem, and take my money:(

Cheers,
Andrew

Was thinking of Fullers' ES Bitter @ 5.9%... ( just checked to see what the true alcohol strength is, case someone got worried about it being watered down). There is a big Exide battery in the tractor... it it full of Fullers ESB? Must be close to Xmas.

So, we could get a couple of bottles of that Marlborough white and a couple of bottles of a Capel Vale red that I got a taste for, thank you QANTAS, and meet somewhere - Washington - get away from all this heat? Hell with Xmas.

Actually I get to taste both frequently as I have a part time job selling them both.

Extra Special Brew......Extra Special Bitter....??? Getting a bit confused with the descriptions of your tipple, Murray. Did you have a few for lunch?:p

I'm not fussed either way, mate. Send us over some and I will give you my honest feedback.:D

Benny - Muzz and I are going to knock back a few of his beers. Since you've had a lousy start to the day, would you like to join us to sip on your grape juice? We can stick SamC out the back to keep watch for Yowies, drop bears and Bunyips.

The more the merrier! Not too sure about imdusty's truck though - as a rule I generally don't like travelling in something held together with duct tape:eek:.

It seems a bit slack to leave SamC outside Yowie spotting - he seems a pretty good bloke. Let's bring him back inside and give him an NZ tinnie as well. And as long as we are all wearing forks in our hair we are immune from Yowies and Drop Bears anyway.....:D

Rumour has it that there are some feral haggis running around near our place in the hills, illegally brought in by migrant Scots a few decades ago.
Of course in Scotland they didn't grow that big because of the bitterly cold winters but because of our temperate weather they can get very big indeed.
Believe they can be quite dangerous, nasty little buggers.

Iain,

Have you tried putting foilies on all your roses at night to stop them eating the flowers?

I have been told Al uses the foilies in his garden and no feral haggis droppings or problems. He swears by them.

I haven't, are sure it will work???
No little tartan tu-rds on the lawn.

I've heard that if you put bottles of Irn Bru out on the lawn it will keep them away...

Don't hold me to it Iain, Al is your man on this subject. I think he got the idea from the Prince Charles.:)

Has this thread acquired a mind of its own? If y'all run down a feral haggis, let us know. Someone might be able to turn it into a bowl or something. Gotta go. 5.15 here. An end of term concert looms.
